Who can use and access the 1 Minute Feedback system?

Answer:

Everyone! We want to make feedback accessible to as many people as possible. You can use the system as an individual, a team, department or entire organization. Contact us to find out how you can get personal access to our valuable feedback system.

Who should I select to provide feedback to me?

Answer:

We would recommend you ask a range of stakeholders that you interacted with during the specific event for feedback. Your aim is to understand how you were perceived as you interacted with others during the event. An event is an opportunity to learn to improve your performance. If you limit the feedback to people who like you, it will have an impact on the feedback you receive.

What important things should I consider before I send out a questionnaire?

Answer:

We recommend that you speak to people you would like to get feedback from before you click “send” to forward your feedback questionnaire to them. Our learning suggests that more people will respond to your request for feedback when you explain to them that you plan to send them a short questionnaire to get their honest feedback so that you learn how you can enhance your skills.

Can I cancel or edit a feedback questionnaire after I send it out?

Answer:

No. Once a questionnaire is sent it cannot be modified. It is therefore important to first consider whether you really want feedback and who should provide you feedback before sending a questionnaire.

What communication will my respondents receive when I send the questionnaire?

Answer:

Every respondent will receive a customized e-mail from 1 Minute Feedback’s e-mail address. The subject line will include the name of the event and the event date so that each respondent has some context for the feedback they will provide. The e-mail itself will contain more detailed information on the area you would like feedback. Finally, the e-mail signature will include your name so that it is more personalized.

Will I have access to my account and data after I leave my organization?

Answer:

We can’t give you access to your account after you leave your organization. Your account is linked to your organization. Your organization has purchased a license fee for you as a valued employee. As soon as you leave, your account will be deactivated. We do encourage you to print and download your reports before you leave so that you can review your personal development at any time.

What data or information can my organization access?

Answer:

Your organization including your Manager will only be able to see aggregate data. This is the only information Human Resources and your Manager can see. If you are the only person reporting to your Manager, this person will not be able to access your feedback. We do encourage you to share your feedback with your Manager so that they can partner with you to help you learn and develop your skills.

Are my feedback ratings accessible to anyone else in my organization?

Answer:

No. We want everyone to realize that our feedback system has been designed to help you get open and honest feedback. You are the only one who will see your individual results. We don’t want you and your fellow employees trying to secure only positive feedback. Instead, we want you to invest the time to learn more about how you are perceived by your stakeholders so that you can augment your performance.

What should I do after I receive feedback?

Answer:

After all of your respondents have completed the questionnaire or the time to complete the questionnaire has expired, you can review your feedback. Your dashboard will highlight your level of proficiency for each behavior according to your respondents. After reviewing the feedback, you may choose to speak to one or more respondents to understand more information regarding their feedback. This information can potentially provide you with greater insight into what you need to keep doing and what you should change to augment your performance.

How can I leverage the feedback to improve?

Answer:

We recommend you leverage our questionnaires to focus your personal development. Pick one area that you would like to practice and get better. Then prepare and send out the appropriate questionnaire to get feedback in that area. Once you receive the feedback, actively practice the area you need to improve the following week during a similar event. After the event finishes send out the same questionnaire to new or the same respondents. Then leverage your personal dashboard to compare the results. Keep repeating this cycle until you begin to see significant changes in the way your stakeholders perceive your behavior.

Will others see the feedback I provide them? Will they know I provided the feedback?

Answer:

If you are the only person who has been asked to provide feedback, the person who requested your feedback will see the input you provided. You will always receive a notification at the bottom of the e-mail request for feedback communicating that you are the only person who has been asked to provide feedback. We always encourage users to request feedback from 2 or more respondents. This gives users a broader perspective on the feedback they receive. In the case of our Manager focused questionnaires, Managers will typically request feedback based on an interaction with one employee. If you are an employee who has been asked to provide feedback to their Manager, speak to your Manager and ask them the reasons for requesting your feedback. Our hope is that your Manager responds: “I want to learn to become a better Manager to you.”
